Even though I no longer live there, I’m a Texas girl at heart. I was raised in Waco, Texas and went to college at Texas A&M University. As a junior in college, I began to feel the call to full-time Christian ministry. My husband, David, and I were married in August 2001. After graduating in May 2002 with a degree in Community Health, I began my seminary education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where I received my Masters in Christian Education with an emphasis in Women’s Ministry. For a few years after seminary, I continued to take courses to further my Biblical Studies education including Greek and Church History. After I graduated from seminary in 2004, David and I moved from Texas to Atlanta, Georgia. I have been on staff at several large churches since 2004 serving in the areas of Women’s and Children’s Ministry.

Writing is a love of mine that began at a young age. Journaling, writing articles and expressing myself through words has been a consistent source of encouragement for me through the ups and downs of life. During my time on church staffs, I had the privilege of writing multiple Bible studies and lessons for women and children. I also had the opportunity to speak and teach these studies and lessons to both small and large groups of adults and children on multiple occasions. About the time that my 2nd child was born, I began staying home full-time with my two children Myla and Nathan.

Over the past couple of years my desire to write and speak about what God is teaching me through His word and my experiences has grown. He has combined my love for writing and teaching scripture with my desire to share my story. My prayer is that God will use me to minister to others to His Glory.
