I’ve been listening to a parenting podcast lately and one of my biggest takeaways from it has been that girls typically live in a space where they either feel “not enough” or that they are “too much”. I think why this point has struck me so poignantly is because as an adult woman; I struggle with the exact same feelings as my daughter. The lie I most often listen to is that I’m not enough. And, y’all, that’s what that’s is- a lie. We have to stop believing that we are not enough or that we are too much. God wants us to know that we are enough, not too small or too big, but just enough. If that’s you today, please hear these words from the Lord- He says you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139), you are His handiwork (Ephesians 2:10), you are His child (1 John 3:1), you were created in His image (Genesis 1:27), you are a royal priest and His special possession (1 Peter 2:9). No matter what the world, Satan or your own thoughts say- YOU ARE ENOUGH, not because of what you do but because you are His.
“I keep fighting voices in my head that say I’m not enough. Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up. Am I more than just the sum of every high and low? Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know.” You Say by Lauren Daigle
